About
The New England School of Golf was established in 1986
Chet Dunlop is a PGA member and founder of the New England School of Golf. In 1986 when the school was founded it was only the second recognized golf school in the state of Connecticut.

Chet’s passion for coaching, coupled with his ceaseless drive to become a better coach has led to numerous awards and appearances in publications on a national level. Chet was even featured in Japan’s Golf Today in a section called “Lessons From The USA”. Chet has been recognized by his PGA peers as “Connecticut’s Teacher of the Year”. He has continuously been selected by Golf Digest as one of the “Top Teachers in Connecticut”.
In 1992 Chet and his wife Theresa purchased the historic Hogan’s Cider Mill in Burlington, CT and established the New England School of Golf. In this private, idyllic, country setting Chet has given thousands of lessons. His students have ranged from five-year-old prodigies, to 98-year-old beginners. They have included PGA members, and everyone in between.
When asked, Chet has said his favorite lesson might be one with an experienced golfer who has taken multiple lessons, with multiple teachers, and still finds himself confused and frustrated with the game. Actually, so frustrated that they are at the point of quitting entirely. He loves the challenge and the opportunity to help bring that golfer back to the joy of this wonderful game.
The New England School of Golf is grounded in the following commitment.
We are committed to you becoming the golfer you really want to be, GUARANTEED!
